Alwaha Language School offers different
levels for teenagers. Teenagers between ages
twelve and fifteen are tested and placed according
to their level of proficiency. The target of
the course is to enlarge students' vocabulary at a
more in-depth level, as well review familiar
grammar and acquire new structures. Learners are
strongly encouraged to pay maximum attention to
accuracy while improving their speaking skills.
The lessons are designed in an interactive way
where students work over projects, prepare
sketches, learn to give mini-presentation, etc.
These courses are comprised of one 2 hour
lesson each week and are for Elementary to
Advanced students. We encourage our students
to use as much English in the classroom as
possible |

What is TOEFL? TOEFL stands for the
Test of English as a Foreign Language and is
designed to evaluate the English proficiency level
of people whose native language is not
English. Most colleges and universities in the
United States, Canada and some European countries
require foreign students to take the TOEFL to
determine if the applicant's English ability is
high enough for success in classes taught in
English. Additionally, some companies require
TOEFL scores for people who need to use English in
their jobs. This class is designed for people
who are planning on taking the TOEFL in the near
future and wish to improve their TOEFL scores. In
this class students learn important test-taking
strategies; review vocabulary, idioms and grammar;
and learn how to answer reading comprehension,
listening comprehension, structure and written
expression questions. The students also learn
composition skills necessary to score well on the
test of Written English (TWE). Finally, students
take several sample TOEFL exams to gauge their
progress. |
